South Campus Development

Lobo Development Corporation and Fairmount Properties approved and signed a Master Development Agreement on December 11, 2012 to develop the properties located on UNM's South Campus. Pending approval of a ground lease by the Regents on March 11, 2013, construction should begin by the end of 2013.

The properties consist of approximately 50 acres of land owned by the Regents of the University of New Mexico on the South Campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico initially comprised of Parcels I, II, and III as defined in the UNM-Fairmount Properties Master Development Agreement. The University desires the South Campus to be developed, operated, used, modified and/or re-developed as a high-quality, well planned/designed mixed-use commercial retail center integrated with ample amounts of passive recreation and pedestrian/bicycle networks.  The development seeks to encourage LEED compliance and “best practices”sustainability.
